Lisa's Obituary

1968 ~ 2014
Lisa Ann (Wright) Stoddard passed away on Monday April 28, 2014, from a tragic car accident. Lisa was born in Cedar City on December 22, 1968. She leaves behind parents Dennis and Ann Wright of St. George, UT; Her eternal companion Troy Lynn Stoddard of Orem, UT. Lisa graduated from Dixie High School, went on to Dixie College for her Associates Degree, then Utah State where she danced as an Aggette before transferring to University of Nevada Las Vegas for her Bachelors Degree in Dance. She continued her education at Brigham Young University and graduated with her Masters Degree in Dance.
Lisa grew up in St. George, Utah, married Troy in the St. George Temple and then moved to Provo, Utah, to continue their education. They bought their first home in Spanish Fork and later moved to their current residence in Orem, Utah.
Lisa has worked in the Dance Department at BYU while also teaching dance full-time at American Leadership Academy in Spanish Fork, as well as The Dance Company. One of her first jobs when she moved to Provo, what she called her second family, was at The Dance Club. Lisa also taught dance and was the Dance Team Director at Utah Valley University (when it was Utah Valley State College) and was a Dance Team Director at Orem High School and many more Universities and dance studios all over the country were blessed with her talented choreography.
Lisa was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and held many callings in the church and took great pride in fulfilling them.
When Lisa wasn't working she was spending time with her family and extended family, which was her favorite thing to do. Lisa and her family loved spending time together outdoors. Lisa was the rock, the peacemaker, the glue for all of us and we will miss her greatly and are so thankful that we have the knowledge that we will see her again, until then Lisa.
Survivors: Troy Lynn Stoddard (Husband), TaeLor Ann Stoddard (Daughter), Zakry Troy Stoddard (Son), Ethen Ray Stoddard (Son), and Rian Ann Stoddard (Daughter). Dennis Wright (Father), Ann Wright (Mother) and grandmother Louise Matesen. She was also survived by Shane and Emilee Wright (Brother), Rance Wright (Brother), Rachelle and Klayton Kolb (Sister), Ryan and Aimee Wright (Brother), and Krystal and Derek Sorensen (Sister). Deeply loved by all of the Stoddard Family: Ray and Arlene (Parents), Tamara and William Anderson, Brent and Diane, Robert and Marnie, Norman and Shyrel, Scott and Brenda, Byron, Kevin and Heidi, and many nieces and nephews on both sides. Lisa was preceded in death by her grandparents Lynn and Daphne Robinson and Jack Matesen, and her nephew Deyton Kash Sorensen.
The family would like to thank the outpouring of love that has been shown to Lisa and her family during this difficult time.
Funeral services will be held Saturday May 3, 2014 at 2:00pm at the Orchard East Stake Center, 810 East 600 North in Orem. A visitation will be held Friday evening from 5:00-9:00pm at the Sundberg-Olpin Funeral Home, 495 South State Street, Orem, and also Saturday at the Stake Center from 12:00-1:30pm. Interment will be in the East Lawn Memorial Hills Cemetery, Provo. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.sundbergolinmortuary.com.
